Introducing 'Other than Mother: Choosing Childlessness with Life in Mind'

My latest book: 'Other than mother: choosing childlessness with life in mind' is published by Earth Books today. It explores the decision whether or not to have children, drawing on my practice of Buddhism, bearing in mind ecological and environmental considerations, and societal conditioning around gender and stereotyping. I hope it'll support others in this decision-making process and help us make a stronger connection with other-than-human life on earth, as well as lessening the polarised…See More

Hi Kamalamani, I'm good thanks. You? PCSR been on my radar for a while (years!) but never quite got involved. Recent email exchange with Suzanne K inspired me to finally check this site out. Hopeful of some dialogue here.

Hi Kamalamani,

great to meet you this weekend and thanks for inviting me to join.  It feels really good to be here and my quick look round tells me this is will be an important place to be in the long-term.  With a 3.5 hour coach journey back to London and a Blackberry, I thought I pass time looking at the website.  When I got there the only way in was to sign up, so that's why I was so quick in joining.  I'm really glad though as its already peaked my interest.

Thanks Again.

Shobhika x
