The Psychology of Climate Action: New Perspectives on Leadership at Resource for London

November 19, 2016 from 6pm to 7pm
The agreement at COP 21 in Paris was the result of a remarkable coalition of forces, interacting with political leadership globally. By COP 22 in Marrakesh, November 2016, it will be possible to start judging progress in implementing the agreement. Collaboration will need to strengthen, accelerate and become more sophisticated, if we are to alleviate climate disaster. All of us in the climate movement need to be aware of the human as well as organisational elements in that collective…See More

Meeting with Nature at Bristol

May 9, 2016 at 6pm to July 18, 2016 at 6pm
Modern life has tended to ignore our reciprocal relationship with the natural world. As a result we have largely forgotten the interconnection of all life and how to live in harmony with ourselves, each other and the environment. This exploratory group will give us the opportunity to come together in parks and woods in and around Bristol, to pause, to listen and to deepen our relationship with the wider natural world and to see what emerges from the well of ancient knowledge available to us.This…See More

Friday October 2nd andNovember 6th, 2015, 6.30 - 9.15pmIn these two special themed events we will keep in mind the current reality of the refugee crisis, and make links and connections if they emerge. WHAT HAS PSYCHOTHERAPY TO DO WITH CLIMATE CHANGE? at Existential Academy

March 17, 2015 from 7pm to 8:30pm
UN Secretary-General Ban-Ki Moon calls it ‘the greatest collective challenge we face as a human family’. What is the part that the psychological professions can play in response?  How can we face inevitable, significant changes to our way of life caused by this and other environmental problems? The contribution of what we in the psychotherapeutic community do on a day-to-day basis is desperately needed. With our understanding of the importance of consciousness and engaging in depth, whether from…See More

Thanks Judith.

Great to 'be here'.

Unfortunately I can't make the Green and Away event. It does look great, and I love the venue ... though I hope the rain holds off for you all (are you going?).

Any suggestions for who might be good people for me to start out chatting with about how to inform FoE's views on the inter-relationship between psychological factors and big picture problems like climate change? If that's not too vague a question ... Have you a moment to offer some thoughts?

Best wishes,

Jules
